Do Your Part, Stay Apart
If you need documents from the Register of Deeds Office, call 931-484-5559 to get the cost to obtain the documents.  Next, send a self-addressed stamped envelope with your contact information including phone number (in case there are any questions), the document request, and check:

Cumberland County Register of Deeds
2 North Main Street, Suite 204
Crossville, TN 38555

The staff will retrieve the document and send it back to you in the self-addressed stamped envelope you provided them.

COVID-19 Update
According to the Tennessee Department of Health, 56 residents of Cumberland County have tested positive for COVID-19, 23 have recovered, and 885 have tested negative.  That means we have 33 active cases.  No deaths have been reported in Cumberland County.  Overall, 941 people have been tested, which outpaces many larger counties.  Contact tracing is standard in all cases, so if you have been in close contact with someone that has tested positive, you will be notified.

These numbers are intended to be a brief summary of the information provided by the Tennessee Department of Health.  More detailed information can be found here:

Health Department Testing
There will be a mass testing event tomorrow, Saturday April 18, 2020.  The state has set up sites to test anyone that wants tested.  I have been asked a few times why Cumberland County wasn’t one of those sites.  The local Health Department had testing available on 4/10/2020 (Good Friday) and 4/11/2020.  More weekend dates may be added in the future.

Your primary care physician and the local Health Department are capable of testing for COVID-19.  The local Health Department is conducting drive through testing Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM.  For more information call 931-484-6196.

Thank you for being part of the solution and thank you for the opportunity to serve as your County Mayor.  If you are interested in following the events of the county, please subscribe to my newsletter, and follow me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Thank you,

Allen Foster
