I waited to send my newsletter until after Governor Lee’s 3:00 PM press conference in order to have an update on his Executive Orders. The Governor announced that his Safer at Home mandate will be extended until April 30. At that time, he intends to begin a phased reopening of the economy. Again, the Governor’s Safer at Home mandate has been extended until April 30.
According to the Tennessee Department of Health, 43 residents of Cumberland County have tested positive for COVID-19, the novel coronavirus, 796 have tested negative, and 10 have recovered. Contact tracing is standard in all cases, so if you have been in close contact with someone that has tested positive, you will be notified.

Do Your Part, Stay Apart
Need a business license from the Cumberland County Clerk’s Office? You can do your part and stay apart by getting it through the mail!
Go to www.cumberlandcountytn.gov and click on the heading “How Do I”, and then click “Apply for Business License”. Simply print the application, fill it out, attach the check and mail it to the Cumberland County Clerk’s Office. Once the application has been processed, they will send your business license back to you through the mail.
You can also call the County Clerk’s Office at 931-484-6442. There will be a prompt to be transferred to the Business and Marriage License office. The office will take your contact information so they can send you the application through the mail. When you receive the application, simply fill it out and mail it back to the Clerk’s Office with a check. When the application has been processed, the office will send your Business License back through the mail.
Health Department Testing
Your primary care physician and the local Health Department are capable of testing for COVID-19. The local Health Department is conducting drive through testing Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM.
